How to Save Money When the Gas Prices are Through the Roof!

Today I paid $3.17 a gallon for gas. Outrageous right?!

What do you do when gas prices are so high that you can't afford to drive anywhere? You stay home. There are a plethora of illnesses going around. You catch one and then are forced to stay home from work, therefore you save gas money. Its genius really. If you can get past the cough, being unable to stay awake and feeling all around crappy, its really a positive. :) I was home the past two and a half days saving myself the 16 minute drive to work and at least 1/4 tank of gas. Win Win.

Give it a shot! Happy Saving!

Lunch today

Today at lunch I sneaked into Mike's office, and stole his fried chicken. I also took some of Laurie's seltzer water. They didn't suspect me, because I used a spare classroom to indulge. I really find that pilfering my lunch once a week or so can save quite a bit of money.

Another good plan is to get another co-worker to go pick something up for the both of us, and say I will pay them, but not. This can only be accomplished occasionally, or they'll become wise to the ruse.

Just another freakishly frugal tip of the day!

How to Save Money at Market Basket

Today I am going to Market Basket with Michelle. She is having a party tonight and needs to get food for the event. I am attending the party but am being frugal by allowing her to spend the money on the food. I will later eat the food and then leave early like I actually didn't attend. That gets rid of guilt.

This is a tip I use rather often.

Happy frugaling!
